I've been sitting here for the past month thinking about how I could offer my existing customers some special opportunities. My only solution was to start an email newsletter. That would have involved setting up a list; either through my own server or remotely using Google Groups or Yahoo Groups which would have been easy enough to do. But then I'd have to promote the list and encourage customers to join. And let's face it......who wants to have to belong anything else from someone trying to sell you something. I'd also have to write original and interesting newsletters to keep subscribers up to date and interested.
So I thought - well why not just offer the special deals on a certain day of the week and leave people to either go look at what it is, or not. No pressure. No pressure on customers to look. No pressure on me to write fancy newsletters. With all those thoughts in mind Humpday Happiness was born. I've set up a special section on my Etsy shop where I will offer a special print for one day only. Look for these deals to be offered on Wednesday's (hence the humpday title) - though there won't be offers every Wednesday. Random. Some month's there might be a new offer every week. Sometime's it might only be once or twice during the month. All depends on whim!
What might you find on offer? It could be a pre-release of a new print. It could be a one time only offer of a special print (meaning that particular image will only be available for purchase that one day and won't be offered for sale again). It could be a big discount on a existing print. It could be a special sized print. There will always be a very limited quantity available.
For this week's offer: a pre-purchase of Can You Hear The Wind 5x7" fine art print on textured fine art paper. There are 5 prints available for purchase; and if you are a previous customer (either from Etsy or elsewhere) I'll include the shipping.
