I finished coating a bunch of my handmade papers earlier this week and was able to do a couple more prints on Saturday. This is one that I did on some green washi paper. I wanted the color and texture of the paper to be the dominant focus of the image so chose an Infrared photograph of an apple tree to print onto the paper. It was the perfect choice for getting more of an abstract image.
I may have to go buy more of this type of paper (can't buy this exact one because they only had one sheet). I'm going to be building a collection of these prints with the goal of having a show of just washi prints. These will all be one of kind prints that won't be offered for sale until they go on show. I will likely offer reproductions of these on Etsy though.
