Walking In The Rain

Walking In The Rain, originally uploaded by Uncommon Depth.

I think I've come to the conclusion that I need an assistant. Someone to come and help plan my day, and keep me focused. I'm a time waster. I get side tracked way too easily. If I could just eliminate cooking, cleaning, bookkeeping and marketing from my daily life (not that I cook, clean, or do books daily!) I think I'd have enough time to do everything else that needs doing.

We've had the most spectacular display of leaves this year. (I think I say that every year - but this year has been really terrific.) The leaves started turning early in September and usually we just get a couple of weeks of good color and then the wind blows all the leaves off the trees, but for the last couple of years the leaves and color have lasted for several weeks.

The past two afternoons I've had to drive out to where my husband works, which is right on the edge of the mountains. The color is so vibrant.....so intense it almost hurts your eyes. I've not gotten pictures of the west country - besides the Polaroid shot from yesterday. I am frustrated that I've been so busy and haven't made time to capture more than a few* images of this years display. The tamarack trees are changing now. Next week we have company and I'm sure after that it will all be over.

We did see a bear a couple miles from the house on our way home last night though. He was headed in our direction. If he happened to show up at our place I'd get over the lack* of Autumn pictures.

* I should probably clarify that by lack I'm meaning in terms of variety of shots and destinations. I've got about 700 shots from September not including my infrareds!

Love how you've processed this....magical. And - I share with you the need to have someone keep me focused. So easily distracted...
